Dhinakaran's party gets 'gift box' symbol as SC denies 'cooker' symbol

The Election Commission of India has allotted TTV Dhinakaran's AMMK 'gift box' as the party symbol for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and Tamil Nadu by-polls. This comes after the Supreme Court declined to recognise TTV Dhinakaran-led outfit's claim over 'pressure cooker' as election symbol. Dhinakaran had founded AMMK after he along with VK Sasikala were ousted from AIADMK.
