Dhiraj Bommadevara becomes 1st Indian male recurve archer to win World Cup

Indian archer Dhiraj Bommadevara defeated Japan’s Nakanishi Junya 6(10)–5(9) in a shoot-off at 2026 Archery World Cup Final to win gold in men’s individual event. With the victory, Dhiraj became the first Indian male recurve archer to win World Cup Final gold. Jayanta Talukdar was last Indian male recurve archer to win World Cup Final medal, claiming bronze in 2010.
