DHL plans to cut 8,000 jobs, biggest reduction in 20 years: Report

DHL is planning to cut 8,000 jobs in Germany this year, making this its biggest staff cut in its home market in at least 20 years, Reuters reported. The layoffs reportedly account for 1.3% of its global workforce. DHL CEO Tobias Meyer stated that despite the company recently increasing letter postage rates, it was insufficient to support its quarterly revenues.
