Diana was among 'Time's 100 People of the Century'

Princess of Wales Diana was named by the Time magazine in 1999 as one of the '100 most important people of the 20th century'. The princess was also ranked third on the BBC's poll of the 100 greatest Britons ever. Notably, Princess Diana died at the age of 36 on August 31, 1997 in a car crash in Paris.
