Dibrugarh airport to be renamed after Bhupen Hazarika: Assam CM

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Saturday, "The Assam government has decided to dedicate the Dibrugarh airport in the name of Bharat Ratna Dr Bhupen Hazarika". CM Sarma stated that Assam Legislative Assembly will hold a day-long special session next month to recognise the decision. Earlier, Dibrugarh Press Club had appealed CM Sarma to rename airport after Dr Hazarika.
