Didi-owned platform 99 to allow ride bookings via WhatsApp in Brazil

Brazilian ride-hailing service 99, controlled by China's Didi Chuxing, has partnered with WhatsApp to accept orders on the chat platform. This will allow WhatsApp users to book rides without having to download another app. The fare will be the same as for rides ordered over the 99 app. The service will initially be limited to four cities in Brazil.
