Didn't contribute as per expectations: Parthiv on Gill's WC snub

Ex-India wicketkeeper-batter Parthiv Patel reacted to Shubman Gill's omission from India's T20 World Cup 2026 squad. "India were hoping to find a solid player who could captain in all formats. He was given a fair chance. Maybe he didn't contribute as per the expectations," he said. Parthiv added, "I think the decision was taken in the South Africa series itself."
