Dinesh Karthik named captain of Kolkata Knight Riders

Indian wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik was appointed the new captain of Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League, the franchise announced on Sunday. Robin Uthappa was named the team's vice captain. KKR CEO Venky Mysore thanked former captain Gautam Gambhir, who was sold to Delhi Daredevils, for his contributions.
