Ex-Union Minister Dinesh Trivedi appointed as India's High Commissioner to B'desh

Former Railways Minister and BJP leader Dinesh Trivedi has been appointed as India's High Commissioner to Bangladesh, succeeding Pranay Verma. His selection, unusual for a political leader, comes amid India's efforts to reset relations with Dhaka after recent tensions. Trivedi, who joined BJP in 2021, was formerly with TMC and served as a Union Minister in the UPA government.
