Olympic gymnast Dipa Karmakar, who is planning to return the BMW X1 presented to her by the Hyderabad District Badminton Association, has requested for cash in lieu of the car. "V Chamundeshwarnath (President, HDBA) agreed to deposit money equal to the car cost... We would be happy with whatever amount they give," said Dipa. The car costs around ₹30 lakh.
