Designer of 1st-ever atom bomb cited Bhagavad Gita post test

Director of the US-based lab which designed the world's first atom bomb, Robert Oppenheimer, quoted Bhagavad Gita following its first successful test on July 16, 1945. Oppenheimer said the explosion reminded him of the phrase "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds" from the book. The explosion, equivalent to 20,000 tonnes of TNT, generated a 12-km-high mushroom cloud.
