Disappointed by hollow Maoist ideology: 18 Naxalites as they surrender

Eighteen Naxalites, with 10 of them carrying a bounty of Rs 38 lakh, surrendered before security forces in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district on Monday. Sukma SP Kiran Chavan said Naxalites surrendered citing disappointment with "hollow" and "inhuman" Maoist ideology. They were impressed by Chhattisgarh government's scheme 'Niyad Nellanar', aimed at bringing development in remote villages, Chavan said.
