Discord ordered to halt livestreaming in Brazil after teen suicide

Brazil has ordered Discord to suspend livestreaming nationwide after authorities linked the platform to the suicide of a 13-year-old girl. An investigation found that the girl was encouraged to harm herself and take her own life during a livestream on the platform. Brazil's data protection agency said Discord failed to adequately protect minors from harmful content.
