Discord to make public server chats searchable on the internet

Discord is introducing a controversial change that will make conversations in some public servers searchable on the internet. It covers over 63,000 public communities that admins have chosen to list in Discord's discovery feature, including groups focused on gaming and other interests. It aims to help more people find information from these discussions, even if they do not use Discord.
