DISH Network confirms hack, says data of 3 lakh people stolen
US-based satellite TV company DISH Network has confirmed that hackers stole personal information of around 3,00,000 people in a ransomware attack in February. Former employees and employees' family members were among those who were affected by the data breach, the company claimed, adding, "The extracted data has been deleted." The company said customer databases were not accessed by the hackers.
