Dismissed policeman arrested for raping 16-yr-old girl in Navi Mumbai

A dismissed police constable was arrested for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl in Nerul, Navi Mumbai. The accused allegedly committed the crime while trying to extort money from the victim and her friends, officials said. The accused had joined the police in 2008 and was dismissed from service in 2017 in connection with a case of kidnapping registered against him.
