Disney+ Hotstar may soon merge with rival JioCinema: Report

Disney+ Hotstar and Reliance's JioCinema will likely merge into a single entity in the reported deal between the two companies, a report said. The move will combine two direct rivals in the OTT industry. Earlier, it was reported that Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and Disney are planning to create a subsidiary of Reliance's Viacom18 which will absorb Disney Star.
