Days after Josh D'Amaro became Disney's CEO, OpenAI announced that it was shutting down its Sora video app, ending a planned partnership in which Disney would have invested $1 billion, Bloomberg reported. Additionally, Epic Games, in which Disney owns a stake, laid off over 1,000 employees, raising concerns about Disney's $1.5 billion investment in digital universe for its characters.
