Disney invests $1 bn in OpenAI, grants access to its characters

Disney has agreed to invest $1 billion in OpenAI as part of an agreement. The three-year licensing deal will also allow OpenAI's video generator Sora to produce short, user-prompted videos based on more than 200 Disney, Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars characters. AI image generator ChatGPT Images will be able to use the same intellectual property as well.
