Disney to fire 1,000 employees in coming weeks: Report

Walt Disney is planning to fire up to 1,000 employees in the coming weeks, the Wall Street Journal reported. The job cuts will reportedly be made in the company's marketing department, with plans to unite the division and reduce expenses under Project Imagine. The report further said the job cuts were in plans before new CEO Josh D'Amaro assumed office.
