Disney to settle streaming TV price inflation lawsuit

The Walt Disney Company has agreed to a $50 million class-action settlement over claims it inflated live TV streaming prices. The lawsuit alleged Disney leveraged its valuable ESPN network to force services like YouTube TV and DirecTV Stream into anticompetitive bundles. Denying wrongdoing, Disney will also evaluate more flexible channel packaging options for eligible 2019–2026 subscribers.
