Disney to shut down Blue Sky Studios that made 'Ice Age' movies

The Walt Disney Co. is shutting down animation house Blue Sky Studios, that made 'Ice Age' and 'Rio' films. "Given the current economic realities...we have made the difficult decision to close filmmaking operations at Blue Sky Studios," a company spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter. Disney had acquired the studio from 21st Century Fox in 2019.
