Display chip rally helps Taiwanese brothers amass $1 bn fortune

Taiwanese brothers Biing-seng Wu and Jordan Wu have built a combined $1 billion fortune as shares of their company, Himax Technologies, more than doubled this year, according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index. The surge was driven by strong demand for automotive display chips. Their wealth also stems from stake in Tainan, Taiwan-based firm, along with proceeds from dividends and stock sales.
