DMK MP Abdulla's remark triggers row, Dhankhar calls it 'attack on soul of mother India'

A controversy was triggered in Rajya Sabha on Monday after DMK MP MM Abdulla quoted social reformist Periyar in his speech during the discussion on J&K Bills. Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar expunged his remarks and called it an "attack on the soul of mother India". Dhankhar told Abdulla that he was "abusing the platform" and has "gone too far".
