DMK promises ₹8,000 coupon for homemakers to buy appliances in TN

DMK, in its manifesto, promised a one-time coupon worth ₹8,000 to all non-income-tax-paying women in Tamil Nadu to buy or replace household appliances such as washing machines, refrigerators, mixer grinders, and TVs. The scheme, which targets homemakers, has been named 'Illatharasi' (Queen of the House). Earlier, AIADMK promised a free refrigerator to 2.2 crore rice ration card-holding families.
