Uorfi Javed called out former DD News journalist Meeta Chowdhry after she claimed that she converted to Hinduism and changed her name to Rita Bhardwaj. Uorfi responded, "Such stupid people call themselves journalists. Aunty, please do your homework." Stating that she neither changed her religion nor her name, she said, "I don't believe in any religion."
