Doctors remove an inch-long live worm from a man's eye in Bhopal

An inch-long live worm was removed from a 35-year-old man's eye in a complex surgery after he suffered vision problems in Bhopal. Doctors from AIIMS said the parasite, identified as Gnathostoma spinigerum, most likely entered his body through eating raw or undercooked meat and travelled to the eye. The worm was inactivated with a laser before being extracted.
