Dogecoin, a cryptocurrency inspired by a "doge" meme, has surpassed 10 cents for the first time. The virtual currency surged nearly 80% in 24 hours and was trading at a record price of $0.13 on Wednesday, according to CoinDesk. Its market value touched over $16 billion. Dogecoin has surged over 2,000% from the start of the year.
