Domestic aviation fuel prices up ₹5/litre, may raise airfares

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has raised aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices for domestic airlines by ₹5 per litre, effective August 1. ATF will now cost ₹115 per litre, up from ₹110. The increase is likely to raise operating costs for airlines, though ticket prices will also depend on demand, competition and capacity.
