Domestic aviation industry estimated to post ₹17,000-18,000-cr loss in FY26: ICRA

The domestic aviation industry is estimated to post ₹17,000 to 18,000-crore net loss in FY26, said rating agency ICRA. Earlier, the industry was projected to post ₹9,500-10,500 crore loss during 2025-26. This comes on account of multiple factors including flight cancellations by IndiGo in December. Domestic air passenger traffic growth forecast declined to 0-3% against earlier projection of 4-6%.
