Domestic passenger traffic dropped by over 60% in May: DGCA

The data from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) showed on Thursday that nearly 2.1 million domestic passengers travelled by air in May, 63% lower than in April when 5.7 million flew within the country. This drop was largely driven by the second wave of coronavirus pandemic. IndiGo flew 1.6 million passengers while SpiceJet catered to 0.199 million passengers.
