Dominica selling passports to wealthy for ₹1.7 crore to help rebuild after hurricane

Carribean island Dominica is selling passports to wealthy people across the world for $200,000 (nearly ₹1.7 crore) to help in rebuilding the country after devastation caused by Hurricane Maria seven years ago. The program aims to make Dominica world's most climate-resilient island without accruing debt or waiting for aid. Its funds have been used to build infrastructure projects and clinics.
