Don't call yourself non-aligned while courting Iran & China: US to South Africa
The US said South Africa’s foreign policy is not “non-aligned” as it hosted Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, while its own Deputy President visited China to strengthen ties. “South Africa calls this ‘non-alignment’; we call it what it is: a choice,” the US Ambassador to South Africa said. He added that South Africa cannot claim non-alignment while actively courting America’s adversaries.
