Don't give steroids to SMEs when paracetamol can work: SEBI member

SEBI Whole Time Member Ashwani Bhatia advised chartered accountants and bankers to be "good doctors" to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) while advising them about IPOs. "Don't give them steroids when paracetamol can work," he said. "Instead of going straight to an IPO, a better route might be to approach an angel fund or a venture fund first," added Bhatia.
