Don't take it sentimentally: SC on urgent hearing against Cockroach party

The Supreme Court on Monday declined an urgent hearing on a plea seeking action against the satirical political outfit Cockroach Janta Party, saying there was no grave urgency in the matter. "Don't take it so sentimentally," CJI Surya Kant said after concerns were raised over his "cockroach" remark being distorted despite his clarification. CJI made the remark on May 15.
