Donald Trump's Facebook, Instagram pages restored after 2 years

Meta said it has restored the Facebook and Instagram pages of former US President Donald Trump following a two-year suspension. Meta had suspended Trump's accounts after January 6, 2021, Capitol riot for allegedly provoking violence and praising the rioters' actions. Meta said it would institute heightened penalties if Trump violates its content policies again.
