Donkey meat from Pak sees demand in China for nutritional, medicinal use: Report

Donkey meat from Pakistan is reportedly in high demand in China due to its "nutritional and medicinal properties", according to the Pakistan Economic Survey 2025-26. “Export of donkey meat, hides and related products offers a niche market with strong growth potential,” the survey said. Pakistan has also signed sanitary protocols with China to facilitate these exports.
