Don't resort to violence: Mamata amid protests over Citizenship Act

Amid the protests against Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019, in West Bengal, CM Mamata Banerjee on Saturday warned of strict action against those vandalising property and urged people not to resort to violence. She also appealed to maintain peace and tranquillity and protest democratically. The opposition said that TMC has failed to control the situation "as the entire state is burning".
