Doordarshan plans to replace its logo after 58 years

State-owned broadcaster Doordarshan is planning to change its iconic logo and has issued an invitation asking for entries from the public for logo designs. Doordarshan will take new logo design entries till August 13, 2017 and the winner will be awarded a cash prize of ₹1 lakh. It has been sporting the current logo since 1959.
