Dozens of civilians killed as jihadists clash during Friday prayers in Nigeria

Jihadists killed several people and kidnapped around 60 during Friday prayers in Nigeria’s Niger State. Police said armed men attacked villages in Borgu Local Government Area before storming a mosque. Survivors said gunmen belonged to Lakurawa, linked to Islamic State Sahel Province, or Ansaru, aligned with al-Qaeda. A rival group reportedly clashed with attackers, helping some abductees escape.
