Dr Rajendra Prasad was the longest serving Indian President

Freedom fighter and Congress leader Dr Rajendra Prasad, who served as the President of India for 12 years from 1950 to 1962, remains the country's longest serving President. He was the first President of India and remains the only President till date to complete two terms in office. He passed away on February 28, 1963 at the age of 78.
