DRDO saves ₹2.5 lakh crore through indigenous research

A parliamentary panel reported that DRDO saved ₹2,64,156 crore through indigenous research over five years and achieved major milestones, including hypersonic missile tests, MIRV technology, VSHORADS and man-portable ATGM trials. The committee praised DRDO’s progress and noted SPARSH’s migration of 28.24 lakh defence pensioners with ₹67,388.45 crore disbursed.
