DRDO successfully tests next generation Akash missile

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) achieved a significant milestone with the successful flight test of the New Generation AKASH (AKASH-NG) missile. Launched from the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur, the test, conducted on January 12, 2024, demonstrated the system's capability to intercept a high-speed unmanned aerial target at a very low altitude.
