Dress code introduced for devotees in over 200 temples in Karnataka

Karnataka State Dharmik Parishat (KSDP), a government religious body, has decided to implement a dress code for devotees in over 200 temples in Dakshina Kannada. "We have urged devotees to follow dress code which respects Hindu cultural values. Saree is preferred for women...For men we're deciding," a priest said. The religious body will implement it after getting the government's approval.
