Drone delivery startup Zipline raises $190M, becomes unicorn

US-based startup Zipline, which delivers medical supplies via drones, has raised $190 million and become a unicorn or attained an over $1-billion valuation. The capital came in two closes, one in 2018 and another earlier this year, from Katalyst Ventures, Alphabet’s investment arm GV, The Rise Fund, among others. Founded in 2014, Zipline claims to have made 14,017 lifesaving deliveries.
