Drone to locate people by their screams made: German researchers

Researchers at Germany's Fraunhofer FKIE institute have designed a drone prototype that can find people by detecting human screams and listening for other signs of distress during disasters. "Drones can cover larger area in shorter period of time than rescuers or trained dogs...It can go places they can't fly to or get to themselves," Macarena Varela, the project's engineer, said.
