Dropbox says 5,000 accounts were breached through Lenovo login

Dropbox said around 5,000 user accounts were compromised in a cyberattack in August through a flaw linking Dropbox with Lenovo ID. Hackers were able to create Lenovo IDs using other people's email addresses, access their Dropbox accounts without passwords and view and download files stored on the cloud-storage platform. Dropbox has removed all links between Lenovo IDs and Dropbox accounts.
