Drought in Andhra leaves devotees struggling for Ganesh immersion

Drought-like conditions in Andhra Pradesh reportedly left devotees struggling to find suitable sites for Ganesh idol immersion. In Anantapur district, sites like Chitravati River had insufficient water, forcing people to leave idols on dry riverbeds, reports stated. Opposition leaders criticised the TDP government for failing to arrange temporary immersion ponds in affected areas, reports added.
