Drought solution for farmers shown at Hackathon

A team from Mumbai-based Vivekanand Education Society’s Institute of Technology proposed a low-cost irrigation set for farmers affected by drought in the country at the IIT-Bombay Hackathon. Harsh Gupta and Nirbhay Pherwani, who won the first prize in the water solutions category, unveiled a subsurface irrigation model with a sensor-based crop prediction system which help predict crop growth.
