DU allows direct admission to PhD after 4-year UG programme, no master's needed

Delhi University has introduced a direct PhD pathway for the first batch of students completing its four-year undergraduate programme, allowing eligible students to bypass a master's degree. For this, applicants must meet the prescribed CGPA threshold - 7.5 for general candidates and 7 for SC/ST students. The university called it a special measure applying only to the 2026-27 academic session.
